Stop and go.

The Moon trines Mars at 3:40 am PST early this morning and then turns Void of Course until she enters home sign Cancer at 8:15 am.  Hold off on making important decisions and purchases while the Moon is V/C, especially since Mercury is still Retrograde, doubling the chances of errors, misunderstandings, and confusion around your home or office.

Green lights come on once the Moon changes signs, and the Skywatch clears.  Afternoon hours are the best of the day for important calls and business as the Moon sextiles friendly Uranus at 3:16 pm and then sails out into calm seas for the rest of the day and night.

As times change.

Foggy, maybe deceitful.

Every planet has light and dark sides.  When planets are in trines or sextiles, they tend to show their best sides.  In squares, oppositions, and some conjunctions, these same planets are much more likely to generate difficult situations and energy.

Today, Neptune is in the spotlight.  In a sextile or trine, Neptune is creative, compassionate, and a spiritual energy.  The Moon squares Neptune this morning at 6:33 am PST followed by Venus making a square to Neptune at 9:07 am.

Confusion, deceit, prevarication are all more likely with this line-up.  Venus rules your money and financial matters — double-check all today as errors and expensive mistakes can cost you with these squares in the Skywatch.

Astrological skies clear in the hours that follow but realize that the Venus Neptune square will still be a factor in the events of today and even into tonight when the love side of Venus can be fooled by Neptune’s deception.

As times change.

Wednesday, November 13

Yes, yes, yes. Green lights. This is a stellar day to communicate your wishes and to make some progress in whatever you attempt.

The emphasis today is on communications as the Moon enters articulate Gemini early this morning and then sails out into calm seas. Gemini is the sign of the twins. That puts two different ideas on the table.

Helpful is that Mercury Rx, ruler of Gemini, makes a sextile to dependable Saturn at 6:35 am PST. Directing your will this morning can pay off dividends as the Sun makes a sextile, a welcome connection, to powerful and willful Pluto t 9:56 am. Pluto will also help you be the detective and find new solutions for old problems.

Our creative side is stimulated this afternoon as Mercury lines up in a very helpful trine to psychic and imaginative Neptune at 2:34 pm. Again, watch what happens around this moment.

You can use the kiss and quack times to alert you to the energy coming in and you will learn a lot by noticing who calls or shows up when events occur in the Skywatch are positive and/or not.

Tuesday, November 12

Good energy but little clarity.  This is an odd day.

A Full Moon in money sign Taurus pulls exact at 5:34 am PST and immediately lines up with healing Pluto at 7:48 am.  The upshot of this action tells us this will be a good two-week period ahead to reduce financial pressure in our lives - earning more or spending less in ways large and small -finances are on center stage with a Taurus Moon.

But hold your horses making decisions today as Luna turns Void of Course a minute later until early tomorrow morning.  Meanwhile, Mercury is still seeming to travel backward in the heavens, or Retrograde, a three-week period of time that appears in the Skywatch three times a year.  There is little clarity in these two situations in the Skywatch - this is not the day to make major decisions or purchases as the outcome is less likely to fulfill the intended function or please you.

However, there is a high spirited and welcome sextile between eager Mars and lucky Jupiter making a pair of aces that becomes exact in the heavens at 10:21 am.  Note who calls you this morning and the energy around you today as this marker suggests positive people and situations appearing.  And this is a splendid time to make an important call or make an appearance with a petition or request.  Evening hours are peaceful and good for calls and social plans.

As times change.

Monday, November 11

We’ve got good energy in the Skywatch for Veteran’s Day.

The Sun meets Retrograde Mercury in the heavens at 7:22 am PST, which is a helpful pair to bring back good memories and stories of heroes of the past. The Moon in peaceful Taurus sails out into calm waters this morning.  Green lights are up.

Evening hours are blessed as the Moon sextiles devoted and empathetic Neptune at 10:12 pm followed by Luna making a comforting trine to the ruler of time, Saturn, at 10:44 pm.  A Full Moon perches above all tonight – share this light of love and thankfulness to our veterans.

As times change.

My baby sister, Tita Mahoney, who has tirelessly devoted her life to honoring and supporting Veterans, is undergoing back surgery in Denver, CO, tomorrow morning, 11/11. It’s the fifth surgery in her relatively young and chronically painful life, and she chose it in good luck for her cause. Super glad the stars are in her favor, wishing great good healing; peace and ease of suffering to All, as we remember our Vets, and sending love on this National day of respect.

Following up on my earlier post, in
true Mercury retrograde fashion, my almost put under the knife sister asked a question, and it turned out the wrong hardware had been ordered for her spinal surgery. Three hours later, when the correct implant arrived, my baby sister ended up insisting that she be awake for the entire procedure. The anesthesiologist was a female Army vet, and took very good care of her. She is in recovery, and also in great spirits, feeling that a serious health bullet was dodged. <3

THE WEEKEND: November 9-10

Get organized Saturday morning, and you’ll profit from the Moon making a square to disciplined Saturn at 11:55 am PST.  The best hours of the day follow as Retrograde Mercury makes a sextile to astute Pluto at 6:13 pm.  A challenging Moon Pluto square, exact at 9:37 pm, could put a hole in the peace of your evening plans.  However, astrological skies clear a few minutes later.

Caution lights are up on Sunday.  The Moon trines happy-go-lucky Jupiter at 6:00 am PST but then turns Void of Course until she enters earthy Taurus at 3:18 pm.  Hold off on making important decisions and purchases while the Moon is V/C, and Mercury Rx add an unfocused note to your awareness and thinking.  A bolt out of the blue shows up Sunday night when the Moon meets unpredictable and rebellious Uranus in the heavens at 11:10 pm.  As times change.
