Monday, October 14

A grouchy beginning. There’s still some holdover resistance in the Skywatch this morning from a Full Moon and Sun Pluto square that fired up the Skywatch on Sunday.

But green lights kick on when the Moon ends a V/C cycle by entering practical Taurus at 9:24 am PDT. Taurus is the money sign, so this is a good day to handle financial matters and to stock up on supplies.

The only other moment to note on Monday shows up at 7:29 pm when the Moon meets, conjuncts, erratic Uranus in the heavens. This is a good time to surprise someone in a pleasant way as this conjunction occurs in Taurus, ruled by loving Venus.

Clear skies follow.

Sunday, October 13

We’ve got mixed signals in the Skywatch on Sunday. An upbeat Sun Jupiter sextile at 11:02 am PDT is followed by the Moon making a comfortable trine to Jupiter at 1:55 pm Sunday afternoon. The Full Moon in aggressive Aries shows up next at 2:08 pm. However, stress levels may rise as Luna travels on to square demanding Pluto at 2:59 pm. Luna then turns Void of Course until tomorrow morning. Best not to press the issue Sunday night. While Mercury makes a sextile to realistic Saturn at 11:56 pm, the Sun lines up in a challenging square to obsessive Pluto at 12:34 am early Monday morning putting up a roadblock to compromise and agreements. If your birthday is this week (October 13–19)

It’s time to let go, Libra. The main event in your new Solar Return is your Sun sitting in a square to powerful Pluto. Pluto is the transformer who prompts most folks to shed their skin (Pluto rules snakes) in some way and to let go of the people and situations in your life that no longer serve your health and growth. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event in your astrology and can leave you wiser, stronger and tempered like steel when this year is over. My favorite astrologer, Lois Rodden, says of this event and time in your life: “As you conclude and resolve repressive or compelling obstacles you can acquire a more powerful insight into the direction of the cycle you’re now beginning.” Most helpful is that you have Venus and Mars in healing Scorpio which will hopefully increase your will power and passion to move on and make your life more fulfilling. Saturday, October 12

Something surprising is likely to show up on Saturday.

We get a burst of energy Saturday morning as the Moon in fired up Aries opposes Mars, the sign’s ruler, at 8:43 am. Slow down around this moment as accidents are also more likely with so much Mars energy in the Skywatch.

The surprise comes from agreeable Venus lining up opposite to unpredictable Uranus in the heavens at 3:06 pm. This marker could be love at first sight and an impulsive purchase, or a flash of awareness that catches you off guard.

A Full Moon in the evening skies sends the coyotes out to howl and fires up emotions in all of us — play it safe and cool Saturday night.

Friday, October 11

Out of focus. Caution lights.

The Moon sextiles healing Pluto at 2:55 am PDT very early this morning but then turns Void of Course until she enters fiery Aries at 9:46 pm Friday night.

Stick to routine during the V/C hours, and save the most important matters in your life for another day if you can. And expect a surge of new energy when the Moon changes signs — suspect you’ll stay up later than usual this evening.

Thursday, October 10

Smooth sailing until sundown.

The Moon in psychic and imaginative Pisces trines clever Mercury at 4:49 am PDT early this morning and travels on to sextile dependable Saturn at 2:08 pm suggesting a good moment to deal with your boss or any authority figure.

A brief spell of foggy thinking/energy appears in the Skywatch at 6:34 pm when the Moon meets Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, in the heavens early Thursday evening. Clear skies follow.

Wednesday, October 9

A short delay and then green lights. The Moon finally leaves the long V/C cycle from yesterday when she enters creative Pisces at 9:05 am PDT.

Green lights come on a minute later as the Skywatch improves when Luna makes a welcome trine to agreeable Venus at 11:47 am. Here’s a good time for a haircut or to ask a favor — Venus loves to please and will help you say the right thing at the right time.

Clear skies follow until another positive aspect shows up at 7:55 pm when the Moon sextiles idealistic Uranus suggesting a good evening to check in with friends or enjoy a meeting of like-minded folks, both ruled by Uranus.

As times change.
